Covid -19 Update
At Chiropractic Solutions we take your health and welfare very seriously and it is vital that our practice remains a safe place for you to continue to receive treatment to improve and support your physical health and well-being.
We would like to reassure you that we have a number of measures in place designed to protect your safety with respect to the Covid19 pandemic. These procedures have been developed based on the current WHO and Federal Government Recommendations. We recommend that you check our website periodically for updates, as the measures taken by the government to attempt to curb the spread of Coronavirus are evolving and changing on a daily basis.
We have always endeavoured to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our clinic, and we have increased the cleaning and disinfecting of regularly touched surfaces, in particular chiropractic benches and adjusting equipment.
Our practitioners are following strict handwashing guidelines between patients and are ensuring that their consulting room surfaces including chiropractic tables, equipment and door handles are sanitised between every patient.
We would ask that our patients help to protect the health of others, and choose to stay home in the following circumstances:
a) Ifyou are unwell
If you are suffering from symptoms including flu-like symptoms including general body aches, fever, cough, shortness of breath or sore throat - please reschedule your appointment. For your own and everyone else's health, please stay home and recover and we will see you back in the clinic once you are feeling better :)
b) If you have had contact with someone who has or is suspected of having COVID-19
Please refrain from coming to our clinic for 14-days if you have come into contact with anyone who has been tested or positive with COVID-19.
c) If you have travelled overseas or been on a cruise Ship
As of March 16 2020 it is a requirement of The Australian Federal Government that all international passengers entering Australia observe strict quarantine requirements for a period of 14 days. If, after that time, you are not experiencing any of the symptoms of Covid-19, you are welcome to make an appointment with us.
In addition, in an attempt to reduce the amount of non-essential traffic within our practice, we ask that wherever possible, you avoid bringing extra friends or family with you who don't have an appointment with us.
*We have introduced new measures from 23 March 2020.
We have reduced the number of chairs in our reception area and have spaced them out to observe the 1.5m social distancing requirements.
We are also spreading out our chiropractic appointments to reduce the number of people in our building at any one time. For us to achieve this you may receive a call from us to ask you to change your appointment time.
You can also assist our efforts in maintaining our clinic hygiene by washing your hands in our bathrooms prior to your treatment or using the hand sanitiser provided at reception. The latest information from SA Health is that regular hand-washing is the very best way to prevent the transmission and spread of infection.
As an additional measure, we have introduced a Card Only payment policy for your payments to minimise risk of transmission to staff and patients via cash handling.
We have also removed all magazines, children’s books and toys from our reception and treatment rooms.
These guidelines and our clinic procedures have been developed to protect your health.
As you would be aware, the Federal Government has put in place measures to prevent gatherings of large groups of people as a means to reduce the spread of the Corona virus. Although this does not apply to our practice, it is a place where many people pass through each day, so we would suggest that if you have any chronic health conditions or are over the age of 65 it would be prudent for you to consider your risk factors in attending for hands-on treatment in a public space such as our practice. You may wish to re-schedule your treatment to a time of lower risk. Rest assured that if you do choose to continue with your care at this time, we will be taking every precaution to ensure your safety based on the guidelines above.
These next few months will present many challenges for all of us.
As always, our practitioners look forward to helping you to maximise your health by keeping you moving, functioning and feeling better through chiropractic care.
